None.

Target audience

Students who take the competitive sport instructors course.

Course goal

Provision of basic knowledge in sport psychology. Acquaintance with psychological theories related to training of children and adolescents, and to work with accomplished athletes.

Course description

The course includes basic acquaintance with the field of psychology from the aspect of the instructor’s needs, acquaintance with the characteristics of adolescence, the relationships between the athletes and their parents, and with the importance of the emotional relationship between the instructor and the athlete.

Mode of teaching

The material will be taught in frontal lectures and via additional reading material for individual reading.

Course requirements

Final exam, when the minimal grade for passing is 55.
